Grateful for Seminars
We are so grateful that you are a part of our community. During our first trimester back on campus full time, we’ve had music, celebrations, community events, the Halloween Carnival, a book fair, SEMINARS, and more! — all due in part to parent participation at SCC.
Seminars are integral to our school in many ways. First, they provide our learners with an interest-based, school-wide enrichment program, aligned with the best national research in gifted and talented education. Importantly, seminars, taught by parent volunteers, provide planning time that is critical to our learner-centric and educator-driven school model. Last but certainly not least of these benefits is the opportunity parents have to engage in their children’s education in a meaningful way. In giving your time and talent to our school, we hear time and time again how rewarding the seminar experience is for our parent volunteers.
Below are some reflections from this year’s seminar volunteers:
Thank you to all our volunteers and especially our seminar volunteers! You play a critical role in fulfilling the mission of our unique school.
Happy Thanksgiving, all! We hope that you enjoy a wonderful, rejuvenating time with your family and loved ones during the holiday. We also hope that you have the opportunity to spend time cultivating the causal energy of gratitude that will last long after the leftovers are gobbled up!
